Jake is a teacher, tenant, union organizer, and a proud democratic socialist. He is running for city council in Ward D because working people in Jersey City deserve power. Corporate developers have too much power in our city, our community has too little say in what development looks like, and public schools and services desperately need adequate funding. We deserve more from our leaders—not weighing corporate interests against the rest of us.
Our Priorities
BUILD PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE SOCIAL HOUSING THAT IS PUBLICLY OWNED & COMMUNITY-RUN

INVEST IN PUBLIC OWNERSHIP OF CHRIST HOSPITAL
CRACKDOWN ON LABOR VIOLATIONS AND WIN JUST CAUSE TERMINATION
END PRIVATIZATION OF OUR MUNICIPAL SERVICES
MUNICIPAL VOTING RIGHTS FOR NON-CITIZEN RESIDENTS & 16-17 YEAR OLDS
WIN A GREEN NEW DEAL FOR JERSEY CITY
Jersey City Ward D
Ward D includes the neighborhoods of The Heights, The Slopes, and part of Newport. It’s a place where workers, immigrants, and families put down roots and thrive in our vibrant community. However, Ward D faces the same threats that loom over the rest of Jersey City: the rent is too damn high, corporate developers have too much power, and public transit fails to meet our needs. We still lack real public safety measures like mental health crisis response, and working families’ taxes should deliver better public services. Let’s tackle these issues together and build a community that works for all of us.
